The easiest way to the top is Thanon Dhupatemiya from the west side near the intersection of 4169 (the ring road) and 4170. This paved road ends near the Radar. Take a right before the Radar onto a smaller road which passes Secret Buddha Garden. Following this road will lead to a 600 meter downhill into the Lamai Valley. We recommend leaving early so you don't get lost at the top in the dark. It takes about two weeks to become heat acclimatized. Powerful riders from colder climates may experience dizziness and/or muscle weakness on their way up.

Lots of single-tracks below 100 meters wind thru the jungle in the foothills especially on the west side of the island. These tracks are shaded, relatively flat, and more technical rides than the roads at the top.
